Celtique Energie Holdings Ltd (Celtique) is a privately owned, British-based oil and gas exploration company. Celtique has four licences for oil and gas exploration in the UK. All of these licences are operated by Joint Venture partner companies.
We use proven and safe techniques to explore for and recover conventional and unconventional oil and gas reserves. These techniques include seismic acquisition and exploratory drilling. In order to undertake exploratory drilling operations temporary well sites need to be constructed. This construction can only be undertaken once planning permission has been approved by the relevant planning authority; this is the County Council in the UK. All our wells are designed with safety and environmental protection as the prime consideration and our operations are highly regulated by the relevant national and local authorities.
In the UK, the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) which is an executive agency sponsored by the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Environment Agency (EA), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Minerals Planning Authority approve or regulate our operations.
